Fresh Mochi Nijusou Matcha 60g (with Matcha Kinako)

This fresh mochi, made with domestically produced hon-warabi flour, has a smooth, melt-in-your-mouth texture. By reducing the water content compared to typical warabi mochi, we've created a product that is both melty and delightfully chewy. Enjoy it chilled for a refreshing, slippery texture, or at room temperature for a softer, more indulgent experience – a fresh confection that changes character with temperature.

Matcha is made by grinding tencha (tea leaves) in a stone mill. We knead Kyoto Uji-grown matcha into the mochi dough, bringing out its vibrant green color, rich aroma, and deep umami that follows its subtle bitterness. It's served with matcha kinako, a blend of kinako (roasted soybean flour) and matcha. The fragrant nuttiness of the soybeans combines with the refreshing bitterness of the matcha, further enhancing the matcha's flavor.

How to Enjoy (Frozen Delivery)

Delivered frozen. Thaw in the refrigerator for at least half a day (or under running water while still in the bag; hot water is not allowed). Thawing time may vary depending on the environment. After thawing, consume within 5 days including the thawing day, and within the day of opening. Sprinkle the matcha kinako just before eating to enhance its aroma. It can be enjoyed deliciously either chilled or at room temperature.

How to Enjoy (Refrigerated Delivery)

Delivered thawed. After arrival, refrigerate below 10℃ and consume by the use-by date (5 days including shipping date; indicated on product or accompanying materials). If you do not plan to eat it immediately or anticipate a long absence, we recommend ordering via frozen delivery. We recommend specifying your delivery date and time. Refrigerated delivery is not available for Hokkaido, Okinawa, and some remote islands.

About Delivery

You can choose between frozen delivery and refrigerated delivery (we do not handle room temperature delivery). Products with different temperature zones cannot be shipped together. Frozen delivery is recommended. The best-before date for frozen products is 3 months or more (indicated on the product label). Fresh mochi is shipped collectively every Friday (orders confirmed by Wednesday noon are shipped on Friday of that week. Refrigerated delivery is thawed before shipping).

About Returns and Exchanges

As this is a food product (perishable), we cannot accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations after your order has been confirmed due to customer convenience (as this is a mail order, cooling-off period does not apply). If the delivered product is damaged, defective, or incorrectly delivered, please contact our inquiry desk (support@ginza-kasho-hikaru.jp / 050-6866-2266) within 2 days of product arrival. We will arrange an exchange for a good product or a refund. This product has an expiration date. We cannot compensate for quality deterioration due to long absences or delayed receipt.
